The red 4Kr.

It was issued November 1st 1858 and is identical to the correspondent Austrian from whom differs only for the color. The issuing period is the one corresponding to the switch from Lira to Soldi (see the correspondent regular common issues) but the Austrian label in Kreuzer ("Carantani") was left unchanged. The life of this "stamp" was very short because already from January 1st 1859 the fee was reduced to 2Kr with the issuing of a new stamps to this aim (and waiting that this one was getting used the remainders of the 4Kr were used as 2Kr). And just due to this very short period of use that its rarity comes from.
The drawing is different from the previous revenue (the green 2Kr) in regard to the external frame while the central coat of arms corresponds to the 1st sub-type of the same green revenue.
No variety to outline (it's already enough rare by itself...) and only one official reprint was made in 1873. As always, the number of stamps printed is unknown.
(Note: of this part too I don't have the pleasure to own a real sample, therefore I show here the one present in the "Catalogo Sassone Specializzato" ed. 2001)
