The 1Kr. - black -

It was issued January 1st 1859. I said in the introduction to the revenue stamps that the fee on the "Gazzette" was at the beginning applied only to the out of state newspapers and later on the internals one too. The purpose of this revenue was exactly to fulfill this need and therefore to tax with 1 Kreuzer the internal newspapers and the ones coming from German areas: up to that moment the tax on the internal newspapers (that started in 1858) was also 2Kr and was applied with a cancellation on the paper itself.
To prepare the table there was no major effort... In fact from the one already obsolete of the 4Kr all the numbers "4" have been modified eliminating the horizontal trait: with a careful analysis we can notice minimal differences between the various values of different pieces. Of this value too there is a similar Austrian "companion" but with different color. There are no varieties to be notified and we don't know the quantity printed. An official reprint was made in 1873.
